What’s the difference between acrylic and canvas print?
Acrylic photo prints are constructed either by printing your image directly onto the acrylic and sealing it with a back coating or by printing the image onto paper and putting it behind the acrylic. We face-mount our acrylic prints, printing your image with archival inks on paper which is mounted to an acrylic sheet.
For canvas prints, we print using archival inks onto an artist-grade canvas that is mounted to a solid, supportive face that prevents sagging or warping over time. The canvas is finished with a black matboard backing that comes with hanging hardware already attached so that it’s ready to hang right out of the box.
How to mount acrylic on the wall
We include a preinstalled float mount on your acrylic print for easy hanging. Our acrylic prints are recommended for indoor, climate-controlled environments.
They can be displayed in bathrooms, sunrooms, or near windows without concerns of fading due to the UV protective coating. We do not recommend hanging our products outdoors or where there may be any exposure to the elements.
What size acrylic print is best?
Large acrylic prints make a great addition to your contemporary home décor withhigh definition, edge-to-edge impact. But consider smaller sizes as well for a memorable photo gift idea.
